Yes. Sky Scouts flight planning is led by a Transport Canada (TC) Advanced Operations pilot. Missions are reviewed against CARs Part IX rules (Canadian Aviation Regulations for drones), aircraft suitability, nearby people, site constraints, weather, and any NAV CANADA (air traffic control) or SFOC (Special Flight Operations Certificate) requirements. Our fleet planning covers both small RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) operations and eligible sub-249g microdrone workflows.
Wind alone does not automatically cancel a flight. For planning, our 1-inch DJI system is manufacturer-rated to 10.7 m/s, about 21 knots or 38 km/h, and our sub-249g microdrone is rated to 8 m/s, about 16 knots or 29 km/h. Rain is different: we do not fly during active rain, dense fog, visibility below 3 miles, or conditions where gusts, terrain, people nearby, or mission risk make the flight unsafe.
The client portal is designed to organize project status, delivery notes, and file integrity references in one place. Production storage, archive duration, and access controls are confirmed in the final project scope before sensitive client files are delivered.
Under standard Transport Canada (TC) regulations, drones must remain within Visual Line of Sight (VLOS - meaning the pilot must be able to see the drone at all times with their own eyes) and fly up to 400 feet (122 meters) Above Ground Level (AGL). Where controlled airspace or special operating conditions apply, we review requirements and request NAV CANADA (Canada's civil air navigation service) authorization or other permissions before confirming the mission.
